Contraceptives
What are Contraceptives?
Contraceptives reduce the risk of a woman getting pregnant while being sexually active. Examples of contraceptives include condoms, birth control pills, IUD, and more. Depending on the type used, contraception tries to stop pregnancy from happening by:
- Keeping the egg and sperm apart
- Stopping egg production
- Stopping the combined sperm and egg (fertilized egg) from attaching to the lining of the womb
