Low Testosterone
What is Low Testosterone?
Testosterone is an essential hormone in both men and women. However, men have a lot more of this hormone, and it helps them with a wide range of bodily functions. When there are low levels of testosterone being made by the body, it is known as low testosterone, or low T. Low testosterone is also known as hypogonadism. This condition can be caused by injury, disease, bodily malfunction, lifestyle factors, and more.
If you have low testosterone, you are likely to experience some or all of the symptoms listed below:
- Decreased libido or sex drive
- Impotence (inability to get or maintain erections)
- Gynecomastia (growth of breast tissue)
- Infertility
- Muscle weakness
